Getting involved

How do you get involved in Rock-It-Ball? Well you probably want to find out if there any local teams in your area and by clicking the link to TEAMS you will find a list of clubs/teams that are currently registered with the IRIBF and the National Governing Body of your country.

However you can of course set up your own Club/Team and by following the link “Setting up a Club” you will see a list of things that you will need to get you going.

You don’t have to be involved in a club -  you can get involved as an individual through playing v2 or v3. Click here for an explanation of these variations. Or you can play pairs. However you decide to become involved as a player it is imperative that you join the Federation. You can get the forms by clicking here

Player, Coach, Umpire, Fan or Administrator - there are several ways that you can get involved in the sport. Click the links below to find out the many roles that are available.

Coaches
Coaching can be one of the more gratifying aspects of involvement in sport; we get the chance to shape young people into athletes and responsible members of society.

Referees
Like all sports Rock-It-Ball requires game day officials and this can range from a single referee for a local league game to 1 referee, 2 umpires, a score keeper and a time keeper.

PostHeaderIcon Volunteers

There are many roles within a club or team such as chairman, secretary, press officer, game day organiser and many others. Volunteers are such an important cog in the club that without them it can be difficult to sustain continuity. Everyone has a skill that can be used within a club set up and it does not have to take over your life - it may only be an hour a week.

For our older volunteers the experience and skills that you have built over the years can be a huge asset to any club. In fact many people who have retired are starting to give a little time to help run clubs. Remember, if we can create opportunities for our young people to stay out of trouble the better it is for them and the rest of the community.

So, if you have retired and have too much time on your hands, get in touch with your local team and volunteer your time.

It goes to say that we also need help at many different levels.  Our leagues need volunteers, managers, press officers, printers, marketing etc. so, again, get in touch. In fact email us through volunteer@playrock-It-ball.com, let us know what skills you have and we will see if we can match you up with a role in Rock-It-Ball.
